Double Coupons at Kmart!

Every once in awhile, Kmart will offer Double Coupon Days. During these sales, they will double any coupon up to $2.00!!! This has been one way that I have been able to stockpile razors, shampoo, and air fresheners. (Read more about my stockpile in my post here).

Well, they are doing it again February 22-28 at participating stores. To find out if your store is participating, go here and enter your zip code. If your store is participating, you will see it on the front page of their weekly flyer.

You can also sign up for their e-mail list, and they will send you a coupon for $5.00 off a $50.00 purchase. I believe this is before coupons, so this could be helpful if you find a lot of great double coupon deals.

There is a great list here of the double coupon match-ups...thanks to Hot Coupon World for supplying this!

Papa John's Deal

I guess Papa John's is deciding to follow Pizza Hut's example...here is a deal for Papa John's which is similar to the deal I posted about here from Pizza Hut.

Buy a XL specialty pizza, get a medium one-topping pizza for $ .99! Not bad!! While you're at their website, sign up for their e-mail list and receive some great coupons for free pizza and more!!

T.G.I. Friday's - Buy One Entree, Get One Free (exp. 3/1)
Big Lots - 20% off your entire purchase (only good Feb. 22 from 5-9pm...weird, I know, but it could make for a great diaper deal).
Kohl's - $5.00 off any purchase of $5.00 or more (sign up for e-mail list)...I love this kind of coupon. I got some free dishtowels with my Kohl's coupon.
JC Penney - $5.00 off any purchase of $5.00 or more (you do not have to sign up for a credit card...just skip that part! Use 3050 or 3008 as the promo code to have the coupon emailed to you.)

Parents Magazine - 2 Year Subscription for FREE!

Sign up here to receive a free two year subscription to Parents magazine. I have gotten several free magazine subscriptions through ValueMags and have never had any problems with them.

Walgreens Diaper Deal

I posted about this deal here, but I underestimated just how great this deal was...instead of being $5.99 a pack, they turned out to be only $4.00 a pack!! You must use the $3.00 off coupon in the weekly flier, and you can only do it in transactions of three at a time. What a great deal to stockpile some diapers.
I have been very happy with the Walgreens diapers...the green packs are "premium" and they seem to be equal to the nicer brands of diapers.
Hurry...this sale ends tomorrow!!

Coupons 101 Continued: Stockpiling

If you do much research into saving money with coupons, one word you will frequently see is "stockpiling." This is a picture of my "toiletry" stockpile. Most of the things in this cabinet were either free or almost free, and most of it is from Walgreens (read my post here on Walgreens 101 if you are new to shopping there). I am now stocked for several months with most of the toiletry items that we would purchase on a regular basis. By "stockpiling" your deals, you won't find yourself running to the store without a coupon to buy something at full price.
To read about stockpiling your groceries, check out Jennifer's article here.

Free Sample of Selsun Blue

Never buy travel size toiletries again! Already this week we've had several free samples of shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant - and hopefully they'll come with some coupons for the full-size products!

Here is the sample of Selsun Blue.

Two More Restaurant Deals

Get a coupon for a Buy One Get One Free Entree at Ruby Tuesdays!! What a great date night (if you're one of the lucky ones who live near a Ruby Tuesdays!!).

IHOP is offering a free stack of pancakes on February 24th from 7am to 10pm. 100% of any donations will go to the Children's Miracle Network.

Here are some great Chuck E. Cheese coupons.

Today Only - 20 Free 4x6 prints at Walgreens!!

Upload your prints to Walgreens today, and get 20 free prints! At checkout enter the code: ONEDAY. Make sure to pick the option of picking them up in-store, so you can get them totally free (no shipping charges either).

The Best Online Coupons

There are a ton of great coupons out there right now, but here are a few of the highlights:

Get a free Diet Dr. Pepper 2 liter or 20 oz. bottle right now here at Coupons.com. While you're there, you can also grab $1.00 off Pert Plus, $1.00/2 Del Monte Fruit Cups, $1.00/2 Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, and many more!

Get a $1.50 off Pampers coupon here. (You have to fill out a short survey for this one).

Sign up with Betty Crocker here, and receive a great $10 coupon booklet for their products.

Sign up for Betty Crocker's Dinner Made Easy, and receive another terrific $10 coupon booklet.

Sign up for Eat Better America and get another $10 coupon booklet.

Get a $1.10 off Progresso Soup coupon here. (Don't forget you can print these twice - just hit your browser's back button.)

Get a $1.00 off Stayfree products here. (Print twice)

Get a $1.00 off Gain Detergent here. (Print twice)

Get a $2.00 off any St. Ives product here. (Print twice) This makes for some incredibly cheap body wash...I got it at Walmart for $ .97 with the coupon, but if they had it on sale, it would be even cheaper!!

Get a $1.50 off any 15 oz. Coffee Mate creamer here. (Print twice) I love these! They put them out pretty frequently, and so I rarely pay full price for creamer...last month our Walmart had Pumpkin Spice creamer marked down to $1.48, so I got two creamers for free (used two coupons).

Enjoy your great deals!! Let me know what other great coupons you come across!!

To Buy or Not To Buy...That is the Question.

How do you know if it will be worth it to buy the paper? What if you don't like or need any of the coupons that are in there? Well, one way of solving this problem is by previewing the coupons before you buy...

The Coupon Clippers offers a preview of what inserts will be in the paper the week before they come out. Click on the calendar to see the specific coupon listings. This weekend looks like some pretty good coupons with inserts from both Red Plum (Valassis) and Smart Source. You can also "purchase" coupons through this website as well. For more tips on coupons, click on my "Coupons 101" button on the right sidebar of this page.

A Delicious Sample!

Yum! Who wouldn't want one of these delivered to your mailbox?! Quaker is offering a free sample of their new True Delights Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond bar here. Enjoy!!

For My Southern Readers...

For those of you who do NOT live in the Northwoods of Wisconsin (where our store selection is very limited!!), here are a few blogs that may cover stores near you...

Jenny at Southern Savers will keep you updated on deals at Food Lion and lets you know how you can get free groceries at Publix this week.

The Thrifty Mama has the scoop on how Bloom stores are tripling coupons February 20-22 (I'm so jealous!). She also has some deals on Bi-Lo as well.

Great Lowe's Coupon...

If you are needing to make home improvements any time soon, here's a coupon that will help you out a little. It is $10 off a $50 purchase and can be used online or in store.

(FYI, this coupon might take a few minutes to load.)

Aquafresh Free Sample

Much like the deodorant freebie I posted about here, this freebie is also a great one for travel...

Aquafresh is offering a sample of their Extreme Clean toothpaste here. Be sure to click on the "Savings and Special Offers" tab at the top of the page. While there, you can also print off some great $1.00 coupons for toothpaste and toothbrushes.

Have You Tried Vocalpoint Yet?

I had been hearing about Vocalpoint for awhile before I finally decided to give it a try. Basically, you register with them, and then periodically they will send you a packet of really great coupons for a particular product. They encourage you to come back to their website and fill out a survey about the product, but you do not have to do this to receive the coupons.

I recently got a packet for the Starkist Tuna Creations. They sent several B1G1 coupons, as well as some $1.00 coupons. Walmart had them on sale, and with using the B1G1 coupon, as well as two of the $1.00 coupons, I got three packs of them for $1.00. Today I tried the Tomato Pesto Tuna Creation as a quesadilla with cheese, and it was surprisingly delicious!!

This is a great company to join if you would like to receive more great coupons in the mail. Click here if you would like to join.

Free Magazine Subscriptions

One of my favorite freebies is free magazine subscriptions! Whether it is a full one-year subscription, or one or two trial issues, I love to get them for free! Here is a deal that you can get right now from Rewards Gold. I have been very happy with this company. They simply ask you to fill out a survey about a particular product, and then they reward you with a magazine subscription. I have gotten so many great subscriptions this way.

Right now they are offering Elle Decor and Woman's Day.

Organizing Your Coupons

When I first began collecting coupons, it started out pretty simple...I had a small pile from the Sunday newspaper, and I would simply take a small envelope with my coupons in it to the store when I would go shopping. Then, as I began to collect coupons from other places (see my post here about where to collect coupons), I began to realize that the small white envelope was not going to cut it. To top it off, my 18 month old decided on two separate shopping trips to dump my envelope full of coupons all over the store floor...I knew then that I needed to do something different.

I started searching online, and found this idea - a 3-ring notebook with baseball card holders. I absolutely love it!! I like being able to see all of my coupons...I like to easily be able to flip through it at the store...and I really like the fact that my 18 month old cannot dump the coupons out!

For me, I have found that organizing the coupons in the order that I shop through my store works the best for me, but you might find that organizing yours alphabetically or by expiration date suits you better. I made little tabs out of white mailing labels, and folded them down over the baseball card pages.

While you will probably get a few stares or questions about this large organization method when you carry it around the store, it is a great way of keeping them organized and in view.

Here are a few other ideas for organizing your coupons:

Please leave me a comment if you have any questions about my coupon notebook! I'd be glad to help!

Suave Printable Coupon

This is a great printable coupon for $1.00 off a Suave shampoo or conditioner. There is another coupon here as well. This would definitely make a great deal since Walmart often has these for under $1.50-2.00. It would also be great combined with a sale deal at Walgreens.

Don't forget that you should be able to print each of these twice. Just hit your back browser button until it starts printing it again.

Hooray for Freebies!!

Here is a great sample for a Degree Men's Deodorant. I love these kind of samples...they're perfect for travel, plus they often come with money saving coupons.

This is a great coupon for a free 1 oz. PINK energizing lotion from Victoria's Secret. No purchase required. Expires 3/2/09.

Playtex Sport is offering a free sample of their tampons here. Hope they send a coupon with this one! They're also offering another free sample here.

I know some of my readers down south have a delicious restaurant called Mimi's Cafe. If you register here, you will receive a coupon for a free breakfast!!

Speaking of breakfast, if you register here, you will receive a coupon for a free Krispy Kreme doughnut...who wouldn't love that? Too bad there is not a Krispy Kreme within a couple hours of me!

Another Bath & Body Works Deal...

Bath & Body Works is always offering terrific printable coupons...perfect if you need a birthday gift for someone! It is not as good as some of their other coupons (free item with any purchase), but if you were already going to be purchasing something there, you might as well get something free! Here is the coupon.

Arby's Printable Coupons

Check out these great printable coupons for Arby's here. One of them is for a free Sidekickers with the purchase of a Sidekickers...not bad!!

Pizza Hut Deal

Right now, if you purchase one large pizza, you can get a medium one-topping pizza for one penny!! Go here for more information! Plus, you can enter your zip code to find out if there are any special coupons for your area.

This would be a great time to use those Book It! certificates that seem to accumulate around our house. (BTW, don't worry if your Book It! certificates are expired...they seem to be very laid back about accepting expired certificates...of course, call your local restaurant to find out for sure!)

Some Great Freebies...

For those of you who are new to the whole "Freebie" thing, I must tell you about Walmart freebies!! The Walmart website frequently offers freebies for new products, and they often come with coupons!! Plus, who doesn't like to get mail...especially when it is something you can use? I have gotten little bottles of lotion (perfect for your purse), coupons for free products, and other great samples...plus, they don't send you junk mail (just don't click that you want to sign up for the Walmart mailing list). Right now Walmart has these free offers:

Viva Paper Towels
Huggies Baby Wipes
Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation

Procter & Gamble is also offering a sample of Tide Total Care here. Who doesn't love a free load of great smelling laundry?!

What is Redbox?

Redbox is a DVD rental kiosk that is located at places like Walmart, Walgreens and McDonalds. They offer $1.00/per night rentals...charging your credit card $1.00 for each night that it is late. The great thing about the Redbox rental system (besides the obvious convenience factor) is that every Monday they offer a code for a free rental. There are also a few other codes offered right now that are good for one free rental on any night of the week. You click on the kiosk where it says "enter coupon code," and type in one of these codes to get your free rental.

M7DM23 - good for today only
REDBOX - good for first time customers (or a different credit card)
DVDONME - any night (one time only)
BREAKROOM - any night (one time only)

Check back here every Monday for a free movie rental code...maybe Monday will be a new inexpensive date night for you and your love!
