Today is Mega Swagbucks Day!

WooHoo! I love my Swagbucks! And today is even better...it's MEGA SWAGBUCKS DAY! That means that intead of the 1, 2 and 5 Swagbucks you earn for your internet searches, you can earn 10, 20, 50 or 100 Swagbucks today!

In case you haven't joined the "Swagbucks bandwagon" yet, Swagbucks is a site that you can search the internet with, getting results from Google and Ask.com. You then earn "bucks" randomly for searching which you can exchange for products, gift cards and more.

If you already are searching the web AT ALL, you really must try this!

I was pretty skeptical at first, but within the first two weeks of using Swagbucks for my normal internet searching, I already had enough points to trade-in for a $5.00 Amazon Gift Card!! Now, just 3.5 weeks after I started, I have enough for a $10.00 cash card! I did nothing different than I normally do - I just did my internet searches through their site instead of my Google page.

To join, just click on the banner on the left side of my blog...have fun earning gift cards!!

Encouraging Comment From a Reader...

I received such an encouraging comment from a reader this week, that I had to share it with you. Cjandfamily said:

"I just wanted to say thanks for all of your efforts in posting the deals on this site. Like you said, it was very overwhelming and a little discouraging because it seemed as though the time invested (hours!) was hardly worth the reward (a couple dollars). But over the last few months, those couple dollars gradually increased to $10-12 a week, and in the last two weeks alone, I've saved $90+ on my groceries between coupons and sales! Last week I spent $51 for $112 worth of groceries, and tonight I spent $30 for $60 worth! More than worth my time! :o) Thanks again!"

I share this not to "toot my own horn," but as a testimonial to the fact that persistence will pay off with your coupon efforts! It may not seem like much at first, but if you continue collecting coupons, and continue to match the deals, the amount of money you save will continue to grow!

Just keep learning as much as you can, and keep collecting those coupons. Your persistence will pay off!
For those of you who are new to my blog, I want to refer you to a few posts I did for coupon beginners:

The Caregivers Marketplace

This week I have decided to find out more about several different programs that I have either been skeptical of in the past, or simply didn't have enough information about to endorse here on my blog (Swagbucks, Pampers Gifts to Grow, etc.). This is another program that I had heard mention of before, but had never checked it out for myself.
The Caregivers Marketplace is a program that gives you cash back on eligible products that are not typically covered by insurance. It is a free program...you simply enroll, then send in a cash request form along with your cash register receipts, and you will receive a check in the mail.
One of the categories of products that they will give you cash back for is "Baby Care." That includes the following brands: Pull Ups, Huggies, GoodNites, Gold Bond and Balmex.

For example, for every Jumbo pack of Huggies diapers that you purchase, they will give you $ .75 back! For every tube of Balmex you purchase, they will give you $1.00 back! Very interesting! I just enrolled...I'm excited about any method of getting our monthly diaper budget lowered!!

P.S. Even if you don't have kids...you will want to check this site out...you can get money back on purchases of Icy Hot ($1.00 back per purchase), Polident ($1.00 back), Nature Made ($1.00 back) and many more!

Toys R' Us Birthday Club

If you haven't signed your kids up for the Toys R' Us Birthday Club, then you might want to do it. Some people are reporting that their children received a $3.00 gift card, PLUS a certificate for a FREE Thomas the Train train ($12.99 value). Apparently, others are saying they just receive a coupon for $5.00 off a $25.00 purchase, but either way, what do you have to lose?!

Thanks, Money Saving Mom!

Target & Old Navy Deals

Money Saving Mom has posted here that some people have found Crest Advanced WhiteStrips on the ends of the aisles at Target marked down to just $4.99! If you combine that with the $5.00 off coupon that was in the 6/7 Procter & Gamble Coupon Insert, you could pick these up for FREE!

She also said that people have been finding $7.00 off coupons inside their boxes...meaning you could "roll" this deal by using the coupon in the FREE box to buy another FREE box...oooohhh! Sounds like fun! I love FREE stuff!!

Also, Old Navy is reporting that from 7/27-7/29 most of their stores will be having an additional 50% off all their clearance merchandise!! You might want to call first to make sure your store is participating...just think of the deals you could get if you combined that with one of the Old Navy Weekly coupons!!

Eight O'Clock Coffee & Rewards Program

Well, I've really been seeing the advantages of some of the "rewards programs" that many companies have to motivate consumers to purchase their products. One of the ones that I have been earning rewards with is the Accumul8 Rewards program, which I have blogged about once before, from Eight O'Clock coffee:

Eight O'Clock Coffee is a terrific tasting coffee that I have been buying for quite a long time now. It has also turned out to be a fairly frugal choice as well...it is usually the most inexpensive of the whole bean/ground bagged coffees (around $4.18 at Walmart - plus you can almost always find a $1.00 off coupon for it - $3.18 for great coffee, not bad!). Right now you can get a $2.00 off 2 bags of coffee coupon here (don't forget to print twice by hitting the back arrow).

But, it gets better...Eight O'Clock coffee also has a Rewards Program. You earn rewards for every bag of coffee that you purchase. You can earn free bags of coffee, cash cards, and more! Just for entering the codes for two bags of coffee, I have earned 380 points - you only need 700 for a free bag of coffee!!

Hope you guys are enjoying these rewards programs (Swagbucks, Pampers Gifts to Grow, etc.)as much as I am! My only regret is that I didn't join them earlier.
Once again, all you Publix shoppers are in for a good week. Looks like Publix is having a Buy One, Get One Free sale on a lot of things. One of my favorite deals would be the Go-Gurt Yogurts 8 packs for just $ .69 each after coupons and sale! Go here to Southern Savers for a complete list of sales and coupon match-ups!

Free Mocha Monday

Don't forget - if you're driving by a McDonalds today, you might as well pull through the drive-thru and pick up a FREE iced or hot McCafe Mocha! This is available only from 7am-7pm. For more details go here.

School Supply Deals

Once again, the Affluent Pauper has a great list of school supply sales here from CVS, Staples, OfficeMax, Office Depot, Walgreens, Walmart, Target and Kroger. Check it out!
