I hope that you took advantage of the JC Penneys offer that I told you about. If not, you can still do it. Just sign up with their Rewards program, and they will send you a coupon for $5.00 off a $5.00 purchase!! I used mine on Sunday and got a great deal on a sale item!! Make sure you put in the promo code - 3008 or 3050 - otherwise you will not receive the coupon. Also, it asks for your credit card information, but you do not have to enter it to get the coupon.

Sometimes I have had to look through three different newspapers until I have found one that had all of the inserts that were supposed to be in there.

SC Johnson's Right @ Home Gift Pack

SC Johnson is offering another great gift pack to the first 18,000 people to request one. They usually come filled with coupons and samples, although each one is different. This one is for a Nature's Source tote bag.

You must register with Right@Home to qualify, and you cannot have received one of their gift packs within the last 180 days (that disqualifies me since I received one last month).

Old Navy Coupon Hunt

Apparently, Old Navy's website is offering "hidden coupons." Every Thursday, Old Navy resets some coupons that you have to find on their site. Some of the places that people have found coupons are on a butterfly, a banner, and a woman's face. I guess there are only a certain amount of high value coupons offered a week, and if someone clicks on one, that coupon is gone. There are even some coupons that are for $75 off a $100 purchase!!

*Update: To do this, you need to click on the top banner that says "Find Weekly Steals at Old Navy Weekly.com. It looks like as of today (3/5) they are already out of all of the good coupons. Hopefully they will be re-listed soon!

Reminder: Submit Your Walgreens Rebates!

Many of you have told me about how much you have enjoyed getting things for free or almost free at Walgreens...but, don't forget to submit your rebates!

Rebates for February have to be submitted online by Saturday, March 7 or postmarked by March 7.

I'm sure many of you took advantage of some of the Free After Rebate items, so make sure you get your money for all of those!

Catch-Up Day

So sorry I had no deals posted for you all yesterday...I was doing what I blog about, but rarely get to do - SHOP! I went with a friend of mine to thrift store shops in Green Bay (yes, we have to drive almost an hour and a half just to find "good" used clothes!!)

I am blogging about this because it is what this blog is about - spending freely!! Shopping at thrift stores is such a great way to save money - especially on kids' clothes. Kids grow out of their clothes so fast, so thrift stores are loaded with children's clothing that is gently used or new!

Now, I am the first to admit that not all thrift stores are great! You have to find your favorites, and keep going back to them. I asked a worker at one of my favorite thrift stores yesterday why this particular store always seems to have such nice brands, while the other one across town doesn't. She said the workers at their store are very picky about what they will put out on the shelves, and that some stores put out everything. So, find a great store, and keep going back!

Also, find out what is discounted each day. Thrift stores usually run sales such as "50% off of green tickets."

*You definitely have to look through a lot of stuff here - they do put out EVERYTHING, so you will have to look past a lot of junk - however, the prices are unbeatable!! Kids' shoes are $ .50, kids' boots are $1.00, kids' clothes are $1.00, etc. I have gotten Lands End, Gap, Gymboree, and many more great name brand kids' clothes here for super cheap!! Check out the coats and snow pants too!

Free After Mail-In Rebate

I don't typically do things with mail-in rebates (except for Walgreens online rebate system) simply because my "mommy-brain" might not remember to send in the rebate form! I just know myself too well!

I'm sure there are many of you, however, that would do great remembering to send in for your rebates, so I will try to put them up here as I find out about them.

Here are some of the great products that are available for free right now after mail-in rebates, that you might want to take advantage of.

Organix Shampoos and Conditioners have been seen with tags around their necks that read: "Try Me Free." They have a full rebate amount up to $6.99 and expire 12/2010. You can find these at Walgreens and other drug stores.

Esencia Shampoo and Conditioner also had a "FREE After Mail-In Rebate" tag around it. They have a full rebate amount up to $7.99, and are also available at Walgreens.

Free Movie Code for Redbox!

Redbox is a DVD rental kiosk that is located at places like Walmart, Walgreens and McDonalds. They offer $1.00/per night rentals...charging your credit card $1.00 for each night that it is late.

The great thing about the Redbox rental system (besides the obvious convenience factor) is that every Monday they offer a code for a free rental. There are also a few other codes offered right now that are good for one free rental on any night of the week.

On the rental screen, it will say, "Rent With Promo." Click on that and enter your code. Choose the movie, and swipe your credit card (if you don't bring it back on time, they will charge your credit card $1.00/per night).
